Peer Review Services
The AICPA Peer Review Program is an AICPA-approved practice-monitoring program, which requires that participating firms submit to a rigorous and independent review of their accounting and auditing practices every three years. The objective of AICPA peer review is to determine whether a CPA firm has established suitable quality control policies and procedures and is complying with them.
Our firm performs peer review services for other accounting firms. In order to be eligible to perform peer reviews a firm must receive unqualified opinions on its own practice and have attended periodic peer review training. We can perform reviews for accounting firms including those that are members of The Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA and the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center.
Peer review is a tri-annual outside review, performed by another accounting firm, of a firm’s quality control system in accounting and/or auditing. Peer reviews intend to maintain and improve the quality of the accounting and/or auditing services performed by firms.
